DAVID AS A SHEPHERD BOY: a no-sew puppet with a styrofoam ball for his head

Make a quick, no-sew puppet of David as a young shepherd boy. His head is a styrofoam ball (which is covered with a bit of panti-hose) and his body is a popsicle stick. The pleats on his robe are formed by a stapler. The SHEEP is easy! His head is a lima bean which is painted black. Black felt is used to make the ears and the legs (just four strips of felt). The sheep’s body is formed from an oval piece of cardboard. Glue on bits of white yarn or cotton batting to make the fleece.
